Espalmador is a small island located north of Formentera. It is approximately 2925 m. long and 800 m. wide. Its coastline is steep, except for a magnificent bay on the South and another, smaller, Northwest, which, being protected by a small island, Illa de Sa Torreta is an ideal place of refuge for ships. It also has a small muddy pond which usually swim in the mud and daubed the tourists who arrive there with their yachts.
Espalmador is surrounded by other small islands: Castavi and Illa Illa des Porcs. Its beaches are of clear water and white sand. At low tide you can walk from Formentera to Espalmador on a small stretch of water that covers low, as shown in the photograph (step Trocadors Es). However, it is preferred by some visitors to our small boat tour is more secure.
